Dongqing Pavilion Improvement Plan

Project Location: 

Dongqing Village, Lanyu Township, Taitung County

Scope of Work: 

Platform, stairs, railings, pavilion (with synthetic thatched roof), 

and seating

This site serves as a hub for both tourist crowds and local farmers’ markets, attracting significant foot traffic, especially on holidays. It is one of Lanyu’s most iconic landmarks.

However, due to the impact of Typhoon Koinu, the existing pavilion, wooden platform, 

and railings sustained severe damage, raising serious safety concerns.

After removing the existing structures, construct new RC foundations for the platform and H-beam framework. Install railing posts and the structural framework for the pavilion.

Assemble the base beams for the platform and stairs, as well as the lower deck panels of the pavilion using hardwood.

InInstall railing fences, lay synthetic thatched roofing on the pavilion, and craft backrest seating.

Install the platform and stair surface panels, apply protective wood paint, and secure the seating.

Capture completed project photos and host the inauguration ceremony.

Our platform construction is designed to support nearly 100 people without deformation or collapse, ensuring durability and safety.
